Fondo Lugli
Consists of about 2,000 images of works of art, monuments and ancient buildings, donated by the archaeologist Giuseppe Lugli (Rome 1890-1967), President of the INASA from 1962 to 1967.
While reflecting his peculiar interest for topography, images are more widely referenced to the entire panorama of ancient architecture and sculpture, returning a sort of pictorial Atlas of the most important monuments in the classical world, with a special focus on the city of Rome.
Most photographs belong to the Alinari series, acquired by Lugli for use in scholarly publications on Greek and Roman art.
